Honduras is one of the biggest long shots to win the tournament, just ahead of North Korea and New Zealand. Their opponents Chile are in the upper middle of the pack around the same region as Ghana and Serbia.

In a group that also features outright favorites, Spain, and low ranking European side Switzerland, Chile will be hoping, if not expecting, to make it through this group whereas Honduras will most likely expect to go out in the group round and will see just qualifying for the competition as a major achievement in and of itself.

This is only the second time Honduras has reached the FIFA World Cup, and after a lot of bad luck it almost didn’t happen.
